The reason that started the HCV outspread!

Lack of awareness...This statement kept going over and over in my mind whenever i remember how HCV had outspread all over the world. Do you agree with me?

I will tell you why? When we think about the causes and routes of transmission of HCV we will find that it all depends on people's habits. How is that?

Isn't HCV transmitted via:

1- Blood transfusion

2- Used razors, nail clippers and nail filee.

3- Acupuncture, body piercing and tatooing.

4- Drug addiction (Used needles)

5- Kidney dialysis

6-Unsterilized Dentists and medical instruments

and others?

1- If Blood banks all over the world and specially in the developing countries were aware enough with what they are dealing with and made concrete blood analysis to make sure it is infection free wouldn't that make blood transfusion MUCH SAFER?!

2- If each person knew that he must have his own personal utensils wouldn't that protect him from being infected?

3- If Acupuncturists, dentists and those who undergo body piercing and tatooing had an awakened consious and properly sterilized their tools wouldn't they protect their clients from being infected

4- If Drug addicts knew that beside loosing their lives and being controlled by chemicals being addicts they can get infected with many diseases would't they leave such a fatal habit?!

5- If the kidney dialysis units specially in developing countries were hygienic enough and they were continuously sterilized and the units were divided into a unit for HCV patients and a unit for non HCV wouldn;t that be a step towards conquering HCV?!

6- Above all, if all HCV patients knew that they mustn't fear saying they are HCV positive because it is not a contageous disease but a disease that needs special precautions and following a hygienic lifestyle wouldn't that make them help their communities in conquering HCV when they go to dentists or physicians or kidney dialysis units so that the physicians take these special precautions?!

This is a message for all HCV positive ANGELS (NOT PATIENTS) believe me anyone of us can get infected so you must know that you have nothing to fear. Deal with your virus, lead apositive hygienic lifestyle, cooperate with physicians and with your community to beat this virus, YOU ARE THE BEST ONE TO TAKE POSITIVE ACTIONS towards a life free of HCV.

This is a message to encourage everyone to get tested because knowing early can help you get rid of the virus because the viral load in your blood will still be low and so it could be cleared but IF YOU KNEW DON'T GET DEPRESSED EVER. REMEMBER BE ALWAYS POSITIVE. WHATEVER HAPPENED YOU ARE A PRO-ACTIVE PERSON NOT A REACTIVE ONE, YOU CHOOSE HOW TO LEAD YOUR LIFE AND RESPOND TO SITUATIONS....
