    Hi doc!

Thank you for being there to answer questions for us Heppers.  I've been looking for any doc to talk to about HepC that will truly take an interest in answering my questions as best as he can...

Hmmmmm...always have a million things on my mind...can't come up with more than this one...if I've tested positive for the Cryoglobulins two different times...the tests were years apart...would I suddenly come up with a negative test if the HepC was still very much in my body and active?

Also...along those lines...how much damage/problems can the cryoglobulinemia (sp?) cause?

    Hi doc,

Thought of another question...my pain doc noticed my "club" fingers the other day at a routine visit.  He was concerned...said it was a remarkable example of the clubbing.  I've learned that when a doc says "remarkable"...that isn't a good thing (lol).

When I saw my gastro for a HepC check-up (first in 5+ years), he noticed the clubbing in my toes...but didn't seem too concerned and I "assumed" that it was HepC related.

Do you see this or heard of this happening often in HepC?  i've never had lung/breathing issues...circulatory issues, Fibromyalgia, autoimmune, possible Lupus are issues that I do have...

    Thanks!!  Jennifer

    Jennifer,

Sorry it took so long to reply but I usually look under the questions catergory.  Cryoglobulins may persist after Hep C has subsided however usually are present with infection.  There are multiple manifestationf of cryoglobulins.  I have never seen clubbing associated with Hep C. I'm sorry can't help you with that one.
